Story[]

Sophinx carefully applied the blood red lipstick, making sure it was perfectly applied. Today was going to be a good, no a perfect day, nothing would go wrong, nothing could go wrong.

She was ready for anything the day would bring, and she would face it like a true monarch would.

And in order to be ready for the day and face it like a true monarch, she had to begin by looking perfect.

And she did.

Satsified at how well she looked, she turned and headed out of her dorm to breakfast. She didn't rush though, it was a royalty thing to be a little bit late to things, besides, you don't need to be directly on time for breakfast in order to get some, and it was not befitting a perfect monarch to run to the Castleterria.

So Sophinx eased into line and got her food, before surveying the options of places to sit today.

She could sit at the Princess Table, but she had done that yesterday and thanks to her obscure tale she could and oftentimes did drift among groups of students. She took advantage of being able to blend in.

Plus sometimes she found the Princess Table to be a little...superficial.

Today she decided to sit at one of the smaller tables. No one else was sitting there right then, but someone might and she might be able to get some new and interesting information out of them.

The two big tables were taken by the Villains and the Princesses, and technically Sophinx qualified as both but she really didn't like to sit at the villains table for more than like once every few months, as they either talked about very obvious plans to take over the school in a very loud voice, or talked about how they could be different than their destiny. Both things that Sophinx found to be a little uninteresting.

Once Breakfast was over, she headed off to her first class of the day. Complex Villainy.

She had thought her General VIllainy class a little boring, as it mostly taught her things she already knew, but she enjoyed Complex Villainy. They went through things in more detail, instead of talking about villains from nursery rhymes or anything like that.

And it wasn't just teaching what a villain did in their story but rather teaching them how to be more evil and think bigger. Sophinx found the class to be enriching but it was not her favorite.

Neither was Princessology, which came next. She felt the same way about it as she did about Complex Villainy, she enjoyed what it was teaching her and found it useful, but she didn't call it her favorite because the material was well known to her and wasn't something that she would need for very long.

But it was by no means her least favorite class. That honor fell to the next one on the schedule. Advanced Wooing.

Sophinx tried to see the value in everythung she was taught, even her General Villainy class had been a review, but when it came to Advanced Wooing, she just couldn't see any point to this. She never had.

If anything, it served to inflate the already inflated egos of the princes. Not every prince of course expected everyone to swoon just because of their smile, but Advanced Wooing as a class did not help those that did.

But she made it through it.

Her next couple classes were uneventful, which she was glad for. She just felt meh about Science and Sorcery, although the teacher was a little bit irksome, and Grimnastics was just something that every student had to go through, even the most royalest of the royals.

But Kingdom Management was her favorite class and thankfully came after Science and Sorcery and Grimnastics. It was the best class on her class list, because not only did it teach her things she'd need to know her whole life, but it wasn't just review of things she already knew. And most of the people that took the class, weren't the annoying insufferable royals who expected others to swoon at them just because of their smiles and their hair, so the students were bearable.

Woodshop had it's mertis, but not enough that she'd consider it for one of her favorite classes.

Riddlish...well it had it's uses.

Dance Class-ic...

She liked ending her day with Dance Class-ic.

"Today we are going to partner up and practice a waltz." Madam said very enothusiastically.

Sophinx shared some of that enthusiasm. She was very skilled at the waltz and if she had to do it partnered up with a hopeless oaf as she often was, in hopes her skill would rub off, she could still pull of a mostly perfect one, she couldn't shoulder all of the responsibility so it wasn't really that perfect if her partner was hopeless.

That was a good school day, Sophinx smiled to herself as she left the Dance Class-ic room, and nothing went wrong!

When she got done with her homework, she still had about an hour until supper would be served. So she decided to take this time to make some anatomical sketches. They turned out perfect if she may say so.

Her day was as perfect as she thought it would be.

And then supper came. She got in line with the others, making sure to keep her posture and her expression stern and perfectly regal.

She found little interest in the small talk the students ahead of her in line whispered as they walked, but she still made note of it. But when she turned to leave the line, she bumped into someone.

This is not something Sophinx was used to, she could feel a burning blush rise, but she hid it. Until she realized who she had bumped into. And her face turned as red as blood despite her attempts at control.

She couldn't hide her blush, and after such a good day too!
