This is written for the Despell prompt: Rewrite a scene from Visual Media featuring the ship Draco Amor: Jaiden Wocky and Amorette Cupid, both owned by Galaxies! It is a rewrite of the scene from the Miraculous Ladybug episode: Dark Cupid.

“He’s trying to kill me!” How did Amorette get in these situations in the first place?

She wasn’t sure what had happened. One minute she was talking with Jaiden, the next he started acting weird. Something had hit him but she wasn’t sure what it was.

She was too busy flying away from him as he pretty much tried to kill her. She wasn’t exaggerating there, that was pretty much what he was doing.

Why was she running from him rather than fighting him? Because he was still her boyfriend and she didn’t want to hurt him…(even if he wanted to hurt her for some reason. This was so not like him.)

As she was flying away and trying to think of a plan, or at least figure out why he was doing that, she caught sight of Bellamy. He looked pitying at her, but what drew her attention was the bow and arrows in his hands. It looked like C.A. Cupid’s bow, only darker.

And suddenly Amorette knew what had happened. Bellamy had somehow gotten a hold of a bow and arrow that did the opposite of what Cupid’s bow did, it made people hate the first person they saw.

Well, he was probably just waiting for her to run to him to beg him to save the day from her crazy boyfriend. That wasn’t going to happen, for a whole list of reasons.

She just had to figure out a way to…undo the arrow’s effects. But how could she? It wasn’t like it was sticking out of his back and she could just pull it out. And she was pretty sure Cupid’s arrows weren’t going to help with this situation if she could even find her adoptive sister and ask if she could borrow it.

She thought back to what they had been discussing in class that day, hoping they would have taught her something useful. But it had been about Briar’s fairy tale, the prince kisses the princess and breaks the evil spell over…aha!

Suddenly she stopped flying, letting Jaiden catch up with her. When he made like he was going to scratch her with his claws, she turned around and moved to kiss him.

He bucked her off of him. Okay, this was going to be harder than she thought. How exactly did one go about kissing someone who didn’t want to be kissed?

She hid behind one of the pillars outside the school as she tried to think. Amorette could hold her own in a fight. She knew that. But Jaiden was a…Jabberwocky. He was probably stronger than her if he was mad enough.

How was she going to get him to sit still long enough to let her kiss him? He probably wouldn’t even let her catch him and would instead think about how to kill her from a distance ot something along those lines.

And then she knew just what to do. If she wasn’t sure she was going to be able to catch him, what if she let him catch her?

That was risky, but you know, Amorette was a demigoddess. It wasn’t like it was easy to kill her even if you were a Jabberwocky.

Which is what led her to this. Jaiden was leaning over her, claws at the ready, babbling about something she wasn’t paying attention to. She was just waiting for the right moment…there!

Amorette reached up and grabbed Jaiden’s face, pulling his mask off, much to his angry sputters. But before he could do anything about it, she kissed him.

She can tell something’s changed when he drops his hands to his sides. Finally she pulls away.

“What happened…where’s my mask?” Jaiden took it from Amorette and looked at her expectantly as he put it back on.

“It’s a long story…I’ll tell you later.” Maybe. She had the feeling Jaiden would not react well to what just went down. “But first we need to get a certain bow and arrows away from Bellamy before he does more damage.”

Jaiden always loved an excuse to “deal with” Bellamy, and to be honest, so did Amorette.
