Artie was walking past Naomi's house, when he noticed that cars were gone, which meant the wealthy aunt and uncle were gone, which meant the cousins probably were too...which meant if Naomi was home, she'd be alone. Good, Artie had mixed feelings about her family as a whole.

He knocked on the door, earning a "Who is it?" yelled at him.

"Arthur..."

"Oh, come in!"

Artie wasn't sure who she was expecting but she seemed in a good enough mood once she learned it was him.

It took him a while to realize where Naomi was, the study, with a blue print spread in front of her.

"What's that?"

Naomi didn't bother to look up. "Something important I found..."

"Was it in the base?" Artie would have liked to think if it was in the base she would have told him, since he was the one who accidently stumbled upon the base the first time.

"Um...no."

"Oh, then where was it?" Artie figured if it was something important it had something to do with the heroes, and she promised to keep him in the loop about anything that happened with the current superheroes.

"Um...It was Maureen's."

"Maureen...the spy from the previous generation? And you didn't find it in the base?" Artie felt a little bad about basically grilling her about this.

"Correct."

"Alright considering I'm not getting any answers I'm just gonna think out loud. The reason you have that is...Maureen was actually your birth mother and this is your inheritance."

Naomi dropped her pen and turned to him, mouth open in shock.

"Really, truly, I was just joking, you don't have to tell me anything else, I know you don't like to talk about your mother and I shouldn't have pushed as much as I did, I'm just going to go..."

"Arthur." Naomi interrupted. "You don't have to leave. Considering your like the only person I can stand in this town I should have told you sooner."

"Yeah but really it doesn't involve me. I was just curious on where you got the blueprints..."

'They were in my mother's old trunk." Naomi admitted. "It makes something that should help us with the villain's teaming up if I could figure out how to make it..."

"Do the sunglasses 24/7 have anything to do with your mother?" Artie interrupted without thinking, he was learning more about his friend and kind of partner in this endeavor, but that just opened more questions.

"Why the sudden interest in why I wear sunglasses?"

"Well you know, I've known you for a couple years now and I've never seen you take them off, not even at night. I don't even know what color your eyes are..."

"Hazel." Naomi interrupted him this time.

"Hazel, nice, but why can't I see them..."

Naomi was already telling him her secrets, might as well spill the last one. She trusted him more than anyone else, not that she'd actually admit that...

"Because anyone who looks at my eyes uncovered falls in love with me."

"Hate to break it to you Naomi but that kind of happens anyway..."

"No I...not a oh she's cute I want to date her kind of love, an obsessive, I will kill everyone in the world and then myself if it means we can be together forever, I won't eat until I have found out a way to be with you forever, I won't sleep until your mine, kind of love, all because they saw my eyes unprotected. And I can't undo it."

"If that happens every time someone looks at your eyes, how come your family's so cold and distant to you..."

"They are not..."

"Agree to disagree..."

Before Naomi could say anything else, the door flew open and...

"I have bad news!"

"Blaze! Can you please text me before you do that there are certain people that live here that would not react well to seeing you..."

"Yeah yeah yeah, anyway, bad news." Blaze's hair barely burned, and Artie found himself wondering if how firey the super's hair was had anything to do with her emotions...

"Enlighten us." Naomi requested.

"So I don't know if Black Swan or Perception told you but there was a possibility that Inferno is my twin sister. I...found out that I do indeed have a biological twin sister and my mother is actually still alive and she was a supervillain."

"..."

Artie said it first. "So?"

"Wait, you guys don't care? You don't want to kick me off of the super team?"

"No..."

"Blaze, your a hero. Black Swan's the daughter of a supervillain and you don't see us going around and threatening to kick her off the team..." Naomi smiled.

"True...wait how did you know about Black Swan being the daughter of a supervillain?" Blaze still wasn't sure if she liked working with Arthur and Naomi, they seemed nice enough but they both knew a lot more about the heroes than normal...

"I told you, I'm a big fan of the superheroes and what they do and before I started this, decided to learn all that I could about them." Naomi admitted. "But I didn't know you were related to supervillains, but it makes sense, you do after all share powers with Inferno..."

"Powers are not herida...what's that?"

"Blueprints." Artie answered this time.

'What're they for?"

"I'll tell you if we can ever figure out how to make that thing." Naomi promised. "Now go back home, relax."

"I don't think I want to go home..."

"Well you really shouldn't be suited up this long, who knows when a villain's going to attack, you need to rest when you can." Artie cut in. "Is there somewhere other than home you can go to until your needed or you calm down enough to go home."

Luke's. "Yeah, yeah there is. Um...bye and thanks again for not kicking me off the team!" And Blaze left as quickly as she arrived.

"Well back to wo..." Artie surprised Naomi by giving her a hug. "What was that for?"

"You just told me two of your biggest secrets. What do you think that was for?"

"Thank you." Naomi hugged him for a few more seconds before turning back to work. "Somewhere other than home huh?"

"Hey just because I can't read very well doesn't mean I don't have some good ideas." Artie joked.

"Not what I meant."

"I know. And yeah, after all, didn't I meet you for the first time when you were spending time at the riding center..."

"True, true." Naomi laughed.
