When the procession came opposite to Alice, they all stopped and looked at her, and the Queen said severely "Who is this?" She said it to the Knave of Hearts, who only bowed and smiled in reply.

How does Heartha fit into it?
The Knave of Hearts in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Heartha’s family consists of herself; her father, Valentino; and her mother, Cordelle. For all intents and purposes, until the Wonderland curse, Heartha’s family was a single parent household where Heartha was largely brought up by her father. The family trio get along well, at least as far as Heartha can remember, but do not see each other often due to Heartha’s mother being a fugitive and the aforementioned curse on Wonderland keeping her from her father.
Valentine and Cordelle were infamous in their youth for their daring heists through Wonderland, stealing stolen goods from museums and art galleries and returning them to their rightful owners. Wonderland law eventually caught up with the twosome and while Valentino’s criminally inclined destiny kept him safe, Cordelle was not so fortunate. She has been on the run ever since, unable to keep in frequent touch with her partner or daughter.
